Start/Stop button.

Power at your fingertip: the Start/Stop button of your BMW lets you bring the engine to life with a single touch.

Together with the remote-control key, the Start/Stop button is a stylish, efficient and ergonomic way to start the engine. As soon as the remote key is inserted into the ignition slot, or when the Comfort Access key comes into range of the vehicle, a touch on the Start/Stop button will electronically trigger the ignition process. Another press of the button shuts down the engine. The entire process is electronically controlled, and is carried out with greater fuel efficiency than conventional manual ignition.
