The 5 Series Touring is fitted with electronic chassis control systems that enhance safety and increase the pleasure of the driving experience. In critical situations (oversteering or understeering) Dynamic Stability Control decreases torque and brakes individual wheels as required. Within milliseconds, the vehicle is stabilised: DSC helps prevent loss of traction before the vehicle begins to skid. DSC includes Direct Traction Control (DTC), which allows increased wheel slip when a sportier driving style is desired.
