The iDrive control concept.

Maximum usability, minimum complexity: iDrive BMW 5 Series Sedan sets clear priorities. Controls for frequently used features - indicators, radio and telephone for example - are positioned around the steering wheel. Secondary functions - the address book, the navigation system, etc - are accessed via the iDrive Controller, with information displayed bright, high-contrast Control Display. Eight "favourite" buttons can be freely programmed: for example, to speed-dial a number, tune to a radio station or set a navigation address.
