Ideal for relaxing driving over long distances: standard Active Cruise Control (ACC) enables the driver to select the preferred cruising speed, and the desired distance that should be maintained from any vehicle in front. Sensors constantly scan the road ahead: as long as the path is clear, cruising speed is maintained. If a vehicle is detected, the system reduces the speed of the 7 Series to ensure it remains at the pre-set distance. Once the lane is clear again, ACC returns to cruising speed.
