BMW Welt opens in Munich

On 20 October 2007, an exciting new chapter in the history of BMW began in Munich, with the opening of BMW Welt. Situated right next to the distinctive "four-cylinder" head office building, BMW Welt is the world's first experience and vehicle handover centre of its kind - a place where customers can collect their new car and truly immerse themselves in the brand. The building occupies a 25,000-square-metre site, and is an imposing piece of architecture based around a striking structure known as the Double Cone. It will be the spiritual home of the BMW brand, and a place where the anticipated 850,000 visitors a year will be able to experience its allure with all five senses. Some 45,000 of these visitors can look forward to the excitement of collecting vehicles they have purchased here, and leaving BMW Welt as the proud owner of a new BMW.
