Team McMillan BMW Art Awards

Now in its third year, Team McMillan were proud to host this spectacular event once again. As in previous years, we commissioned 11 leading New Zealand artists to create works of art on customised BMW bonnets.

Artists contributing work on bonnets were Lyn Bergquist, Justin Boroughs, Garry Currin, Anah Dunsheath, Roy Good, Paul Hartigan, Christina Popovici, Peter Siddell, Sylvia Siddell, John Reynolds, Mervyn Williams.

Emerging artists contributing work on other mediums were Stafford Allpress, Andrew Barber, Alexander Bartleet, Emma Fitts, Myah Flynn, Andre Hemer, Gavin Hurley, Hannah Kidd, Peata Larkin, Sam Mitchell, Richard Orjis, Matt Palmer, Miranda Parkes, Peter Rive, Kathryn Stevens, Tim Thatcher, Rebecca Wallis, Pete Wheeler, Grant Whibley, Glen Wolfgramm.

The Winning Bonnet, shown above, was created by Garry Currin, with the award for best emerging artist going to Alexander Bartleet for .00027735 of an Acre - Acrylics, oil & mixed media on canvas.

Several of the bonnets including the winners are on display in our New BMW showroom.
